General Topology, chapter III, § 3. Uniform structures on groups

Let GG be a Hausdorff topological group which has a completion G^\hat{G}. Then the closures in G^\hat{G} of the neighbourhoods of the identity element in GG form a fundamental system of neighbourhoods of the identity element in G^\hat{G}.

Since G^\hat{G} is regular, every neighbourhood of the identity element in G^\hat{G} contains the closure VV of an open neighbourhood UU of ee in G^\hat{G}, and VV is also the closure of the trace of UU on GG.

Let GG be a group which is not necessarily Hausdorff; let N={e}‾N = \overline{\{e\}}, and let G′=G/NG' = G/N be the Hausdorff group associated with GG (§ 2, no. 6). If G′G' has a completion G^′\hat{G}', this completion is called the Hausdorff completion of GG and is denoted by G^\hat{G}; G^d′\hat{G}'_d (resp. G^s′\hat{G}'_s) is then the Hausdorff completion (Chapter II, § 3, no. 7) of the uniform space GdG_d (resp. GsG_s).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
