Commutative Algebra, chapter I, § 2. Flat modules

Let A be a commutative ring, B a ring, φ\varphi a homomorphism of A to the centre of B, and E and F two A-modules. Suppose that B is a flat A-module and E is finitely generated (resp. finitely presented). Then the canonical homomorphism (10) is injective (resp. bijective).

As ω\omega is composed of the canonical isomorphism

Hom⁡A(E,B⊗AF)→Hom⁡B(E(B),F(B)) \operatorname{Hom}_A(E, B \otimes_A F) \to \operatorname{Hom}_B(E_{(B)}, F_{(B)})

and the canonical homomorphism (8)

ν:B⊗AHom⁡A(E,F)→Hom⁡A(E,B⊗AF) \nu : B \otimes_A \operatorname{Hom}_A(E, F) \to \operatorname{Hom}_A(E, B \otimes_A F)

(loc. cit.), the proposition is a consequence of Proposition 10 of no. 9.

Suppose now that A and B are commutative and consider three A-modules E1,E2,EE_1, E_2, E, and an A-bilinear mapping f:E1×E→E3f : E_1 \times E \to E_3. Then there exists one and only one B-bilinear mapping fB:E1(B)×E2(B)→E3(B)f_B : E_{1(B)} \times E_{2(B)} \to E_{3(B)} such that

fB(1⊗x1,1⊗x2)=1⊗f(x1,x2) f_B(1 \otimes x_1, 1 \otimes x_2) = 1 \otimes f(x_1, x_2)

for all x1∈E1,x2∈Ex_1 \in E_1, x_2 \in E, (Algebra, Chapter IX, § 1, no. 4, Proposition 1).

In the statement which follows we shall suppose that B is a flat A-module and, for every submodule E' of EiE_i (i=1,2,3i = 1, 2, 3), we shall canonically identify E(B)′E'_{(B)} with its image in Ei(B)E_{i(B)} (no. 3, Remark 2).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
