Commutative Algebra, chapter IV, § 3. Primary decomposition in graded modules
Let be a torsion-free commutative group, a graded Noetherian ring of type , a graded -module of type , a graded submodule of and a primary decomposition of in .
(i) Let be the largest graded submodule of contained in . Then the are primary and .
(ii) If the primary decomposition is reduced, so is the primary decomposition and for all the prime ideals corresponding to and are equal.
(iii) If corresponds to a prime ideal which is a minimal element of , is a graded submodule of .
We have seen (no. 2, Proposition 4) that the are primary with respect to and , which proves (i). Proposition 4 of no. 2 also shows that the prime ideal corresponding to is the largest graded ideal contained in the prime ideal corresponding to . If the decomposition is reduced, for all (§ 2, no. 3, Proposition 4), hence is a graded ideal (no. 1, Proposition 1) and therefore ; then (§ 2, no. 3, Proposition 4), which proves that the decomposition is reduced (§ 2, no. 3, Proposition 4). Finally, if is a minimal element of , then since is graded (no. 1, Proposition 1), whence by virtue of § 2, no. 3, Proposition 5.
Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
