Algebra, V, p. 10, § 2. Extensions

*Let AA be an algebra of finite degree over a field KK. If an element a∈Aa \in A is not a left (resp. right) divisor of zero in AA, then it is invertible in AA.

For the vector space AA over KK is of finite dimension, by hypothesis, and the linear mapping x↦axx \mapsto ax (resp. x↦xax \mapsto xa) of AA into AA injective; it is therefore bijective (II, p. 298, Cor.) and hence (I, p. 16, Remark) aa is invertible in AA.*

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
