Algebra, V, p. 55, § 9. Conjugate elements and quasi-Galois extensions

Let FF be an extension of KK and EE a subextension of FF, and suppose that EE is quasi-Galois over KK. Let us show that every KK-automorphism uu of FF leaves EE invariant. For let x∈Ex \in E and ff the minimal polynomial of xx over KK. Since EE is quasi-Galois over KK, there exist a1,…,an∈Ea_1, \ldots, a_n \in E such that f(X)=Π(X−ai)f(X) = \Pi(X - a_i); we have f(u(x))=u(f(x))=0f(u(x)) = u(f(x)) = 0, hence u(x)u(x) is one of the aia_i and so belongs to EE. We have proved u(E)⊂Eu(E) \subset E, and now u(E)=Eu(E) = E follows by V, p. 52, Prop. 1.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
