Topological Vector Spaces, IV, p. 25, § 3. Dual of a Fréchet space

Let EE be a Fréchet space. In order that a convex subset AA of the dual E′E' of EE be closed for σ(E′,E)\sigma(E', E), it is necessary and sufficient that A∩U∘A \cap U^{\circ} is closed for σ(E′,E)\sigma(E', E) for every neighbourhood UU of 0 in EE.

Since EE is complete, the topology Tc\mathscr{T}_c on E′E' is compatible with the duality between E′E' and EE (IV, p. 3, Example); consequently the closed convex subsets in E′E' are the same for Tc\mathscr{T}_c and σ(E′,E)\sigma(E', E) (IV, p. 1, prop. 1). The corollary then follows from the identity of the topologies Tc\mathscr{T}_c and Tf\mathscr{T}_f.

Recall (I, p. 13) that the hyperplanes of E′E' which are closed for σ(E′,E)\sigma(E', E) are the kernels of linear forms on E′E' associated with elements of EE. Cor. 2 therefore gives another proof (for Fréchet spaces) of cor. 1 of III, p. 21.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
