Integration, chapter VII, § 2. Quotient of a space by a group; homogeneous spaces

— *Suppose in addition that Z is compact. Let μG,μX,μY\mu_G, \mu_X, \mu_Y be left Haar measures on G, X, Y, and Λ\Lambda the restriction of ΔG\Delta_G to Y. Then the restriction μ\mu of μG\mu_G to Ω\Omega is, up to a constant factor, the image of μX⊗(Λ−1⋅μY)\mu_X \otimes (\Lambda^{-1} \cdot \mu_Y) under the mapping (x,y)↦xy−1(x, y) \mapsto xy^{-1} of X×YX \times Y onto Ω\Omega (a mapping that is proper).

For x∈X,y∈Yx \in X, y \in Y,

γ((x,y))μ=δ(y)γ(x)μ=ΔG(y)μ. \gamma((x, y)) \mu = \delta(y) \gamma(x) \mu = \Delta_G(y) \mu .

Identifying Ω\Omega with the homogeneous space (X×Y)/Z0(X \times Y)/Z_0 and choosing a suitable Haar measure on Z0Z_0, one sees that μ#\mu^\# is the product of the left Haar measure of X×YX \times Y, namely μX⊗μY\mu_X \otimes \mu_Y, by the function (x,y)↦ΔG(y)−1(x, y) \mapsto \Delta_G(y)^{-1} (No. 6, Lemma 6). On the other hand μ\mu is, up to a constant factor, the image of μ#\mu^\# under the canonical mapping of X×YX \times Y onto Ω\Omega (No. 3, Remark 2).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
