General Topology, chapter I, § 10. Proper mappings

Let II be a finite set and for each i∈Ii \in I, let fi:X→Yif_i : X \to Y_i be a proper mapping. If XX is Hausdorff, then the mapping x↦(fi(x))x \mapsto (f_i(x)) of XX into ∏i∈IYi\prod_{i \in I} Y_i is proper.

This mapping is the composition of the product mapping (xi)↦(fi(xi))(x_i) \mapsto (f_i(x_i)) of XIX^I into ∏iYi\prod_i Y_i and the diagonal mapping of XX into XIX^I; since the latter is proper (by Proposition 2 and § 8, no. 1, Proposition 1) the conclusion follows from Proposition 4 and Proposition 5 a).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
