General Topology, chapter IX, § 3. Metrizable groups, valued fields, normed spaces and algebras

Let A be a complete normed algebra. Then for each z∈Az \in A such that ∣∣z∣∣<1||z|| < 1, e−ze - z is a unit in A.

The series whose general term is znz^n is absolutely convergent, since ∣∣zn∣∣≤∣∣z∣∣n||z^n|| \leq ||z||^n for n>0n > 0, and is therefore convergent, since A is complete (no. 6, Proposition 11).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
