General Topology, chapter X, § 2. Equicontinuous sets

Let XX be a topological (resp. uniform) space, let YY be a uniform space and let HH be a subset of F(X;Y)\mathscr{F}(X; Y). Then HH is equicontinuous at a point x0∈Xx_0 \in X (resp. uniformly equicontinuous) if and only if the closure H‾\overline{H} of HH in Fs(X;Y)\mathscr{F}_s(X; Y) is equicontinuous at x0x_0 (resp. uniformly equicontinuous).

The condition is sufficient, trivially. To show that it is necessary, consider an entourage VV of YY which is closed in Y×YY \times Y; by hypothesis, there is a neighbourhood UU of x0x_0 in XX (resp. an entourage MM of XX) such that the relation x∈Ux \in U (resp. (x′,x′′)∈M(x', x'') \in M) implies (h(x0),h(x))∈V(h(x_0), h(x)) \in V [resp. (h(x′),h(x′′))∈V(h(x'), h(x'')) \in V] for all h∈Hh \in H. Since VV is closed, the mappings h∈F(X;Y)h \in \mathscr{F}(X; Y) which satisfy the relation (h(x0),h(x))∈V(h(x_0), h(x)) \in V for all x∈Ux \in U [resp. the relation (h(x′),h(x′′))∈V(h(x'), h(x'')) \in V for all (x′,x′′)∈M(x', x'') \in M] form a closed subset of Fs(X;Y)\mathscr{F}_s(X; Y) (§ 1, no. 2, Remark 6); since this closed subset contains HH, it contains H‾\overline{H}. Hence the result, since the closed entourages of YY form a fundamental system of entourages (Chapter II, § 1, no. 2, Proposition 2, Corollary 2).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
