General Topology, chapter I, § 3. Subspaces, quotient spaces

Let X,YX, Y be two topological spaces, RR (resp. SS) an equivalence relation on XX (resp. YY), and let f:X→Yf : X \to Y be a continuous mapping which is compatible with the equivalence relations RR and SS (Set Theory R, § 5, no. 8); then the mapping g:X/R→Y/Sg : X/R \to Y/S induced by ff (Set Theory R, § 5, no. 8) is continuous.

This is a particular case of a general property of quotient structures (Set Theory, Chapter IV, § 2, no. 6, criterion CST 20).

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
