Algebra, chapter V, § 4. Algebraically closed extensions

— Let KK be a field; then there exists an algebraic closure of KK. If Ω\Omega and Ω′\Omega' are two algebraic closures of KK, there exists a KK-isomorphism of Ω\Omega onto Ω′\Omega'.

By Prop. 6 an algebraic closure of KK is nothing other than a splitting extension for the set of all non-constant polynomials in K[X]K[X]. Th. 2 therefore follows from V, p. 21, Prop. 4 and V, p. 22, Cor.

Bourbaki puts the proof directly after the statement, so what is above is the statement and its proof together.
